Birthing My Dream
Origin Story: Born in Australia
Dream with Baker's emergence wasn't an overnight affair; it was a four-year saga marked by sweat, tears, and sheer determination. Born from the trenches of my experiences supporting exhausted families and their little bundles of joy, it was a response to the desperate pleas of worn-out parents.
In the midst of the chaos of COVID-19, I found myself face-to-face with babies needing more than just love and care; they needed functional clothing that could adapt to their unique needs. These encounters sparked a fire in me to create something truly inclusive—a line of garments that didn't just dress babies but embraced them, cords and all. It wasn't about flashy designs; it was about functionality, simplicity, and a deep understanding of what parents and babies truly need.
Every step of the way was a battle—prototyping, refining, and improving. It wasn't always smooth sailing, but with the help of incredible collaborators like HSS with Ash, we kept pushing forward.
Looking ahead, Dream's path is clearer now, but it hasn't been without its hurdles. Marketing has been a tough nut to crack, and there are days I wish I'd taken the plunge sooner. Balancing motherhood, studies, and entrepreneurship has been a wild ride, but it's one I wouldn't trade for anything. And none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of my team.
